Registration for Bellevue 5150 Triathlon underway

AFTER a historic and highly successful Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships here in Cebu, Sunrise Events Inc. (SEI) announced the opening of registration for its final race this year, the Bellevue Resort 5150 Triathlon, that will be held in Panglao Island, Bohol on Nov. 6.

The Bellevue 5150 Triathlon, formerly the Safeguard 5150 Triathlon, serves as the World Triathlon Corporation’s (WTC) version of the Olympic distance triathlon.

It will offer an Olympic standard distance race course of 1.5-kilometer swim, 40k bike and 10k run. Its route will cover Dauis town and Panglao Island in Bohol.

Early bird registration fee for the individual is USD $150 while the relay is pegged at USD $180. The regular rate is USD $175.00 for the individual and USD$225 for the relay.

Around a dozen professional triathletes including the defending champions Sam Betten and Dimity Lee Duke of Australia are expected to compete in the race.
