SIMPLE pleasures were achieved and happy memories were made in Plantation Bay Resort and Spa last July 26, 2015 as the twenty gorgeous candidates of Miss Universe New Zealand 2016 posed for some photos that will be used during the the competition’s swimsuit competition.
This year, two candidates with Filipino blood joined the competition.
Coined as one of the best islands attractions in the world, the organizers chose the island of Cebu as the venue of the said photo shoot for its scenic views and hospitable locals.
“We are right to have chosen the Philippines as the venue. It is really more fun in the Philippines,” said Nigel Godfrey, Miss Universe New Zealand CEO and producer.
Also present in the conference were Jack Yan, co-director; Becky Ashley, pageant organizer and camp mother; Efren Belarmino, Plantation Bay general manager, and Hembler Mendoza, representative of Lapu-Lapu City. The Miss Universe New Zealand 2016 will be held at Sky City on September 3.
