Inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) voluntarily turned over 184 cellphones to CPDRC officer-in-charge Bobby Legaspi yesterday after some 50 cellphones and gadgets were confiscated inside the jail during a surprise inspection.

After the discovery and confiscation of gadgets and cellphones during a surprise inspection of the jail, Legaspi told the inmates to turnover any gadgets or cellphones or risk losing the return of their family visitation privileges, which was scheduled to be returned on Monday.

Legaspi said no illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were found during the surprise inspection.
