Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak called on the public not to spread unverified information of bomb threats in Cebu, especially on social media.

He said there have been no intelligence reports received by the police and the military on alleged bombings in the province. Still, Tumulak advised the public to remain vigilant.

In case they see they something unusual in their areas or in places they see, like unknown people or unknown vessels docking in coastal areas, Tumulak said they should immediately report this to the nearest police precinct.

Tumulak, who has been assigned by Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña as deputy mayor on police matters, led a military checkpoint conducted at the Cebu South Bus Terminal on Monday morning.
