Chief Supt. Noli Talino, Police Regional Office chief, said SPO2 Esnang Sarapuddin may be transferred after he reportedly threatened reporter Norman Mendoza of dySS Super Radyo (RGMA) during a demolition at the Mandaue-Mactan bridge. Mendoza was covering the demolition when Sarapuddinn allegedly told him “Wala lagi ko ninyo gilabay sa Jolo? (Why didn’t you request for my transfer to Jolo?)” In reference to the transfer of policemen from Cebu to Jolo.

The two men had a confrontation and Sarapuddin allegedly told Mendoza that he would rather deal with him directly than file a case against him. Mendoza said he took this as a threat after two men went to his home in Mandaue City and asked his wife on his whereabouts.
