Drug suspect shot dead by police at home

A man died in a shootout with police at his home in sitio Sto. Niño, Barangay Quiot, Cebu City at 3:50 am Saturday.

PO2 Bryan Baylon of the Punta police precinct said Jairon Omoso saw the cops entering the gate at his home and fired at them. The police responded by firing back and hitting him on the head and chest.

Omoso was rushed to the Visayas Community Medical Center (VCMC) but failed to make it.

Recovered from his home were four packs of shabu, one video karera machine, drug and gambling paraphernalia, two cell phones, one loaded revolver and empty shells.
