Primary Homes to hold “Dragons in Argao 2”

LOCALS from Argao can now experience the thrill and fun behind the sought-after dragon boat racing competition as Primary Homes, Inc., Argao Royal Palms Serviced Villas and the Municipality of Argao present the Dragons in Argao 2 this October 1 at The Argao Royal Palms.

Michelle Cutang, Marketing Manager of Primary Homes, also wants to showcase Argao as a destination for dragon boat racing.

“We believe that Argao has the best waters that is safe for dragon boat rowers,” said Cutang.

Some of these guests teams that will will compete in the said competition will come from Dumaguete, Bohol, Bogo, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, and Argao. They will be competing in the Men’s Open and Mixed (men and women) competitions.

A free dragon boat clinic and elimination race will also be held to cater to all the coastal barangays in Argao on September 24 and 25, from 8 AM to 3 PM.

Of the 15 coastal barangays, the top 4 dragon boat teams of the inter-barangay competition will have a chance to challenge other dragon boat teams from other key areas in the region.

Cash prizes, trophies, and medals await the winners. The top three winners will receive Php 5,000, Php 3,000 and Php 2,000, respectively.
