UC Webmasters eye first win in Cesafi football
DEFENDING champions University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters seek their first win in the collegiate division when they take on the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) football tournament today at the Cebu City Sports Center.
The game starts at 1 p.m.
UC’s first game of the tournament ended in a draw against rivals University of the Visayas (UV) last weekend.
USPF, on the other hand, staged an upset when it defeated the favored University of San Carlos (USC), 1-0, in the same playdate.
Meanwhile, former champions University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) will play against UV at 3 p.m.
Games will continue on Sunday with the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) squaring off against USJ-R in the secondary division and USC-Basic Education taking on Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) in the same division.
In the afternoon, USPF plays against USJ-R and UC collides with USC.
