Saballa tops Run for BB 7

AFTER placing second in the 10k race of the recent 40th National Milo Marathon Cebu leg, Ariel Saballa bounced back strong, winning the men’s 16-kilometer race of the Run for BB 7: Super Heroes Run yesterday in Mandaue City.

Saballa crossed the finish line at the Parkmall grounds in 56 minutes and 52 seconds to edge Milo Marathon Cebu leg 21k second placer Michael Largo, who clocked 56:55 to finish second place. Robert Daang completed the top three with a time of 1:04:45.

Ultra marathoner Sandra Sollano topped the women’s side with a time of 1:20.19 while Preciosa Sanchez placed second (1:23:47) and Jean Namoc finished third (1:30:27).

Winners in the 8k division were John Daryl Manos (28:39) and Cherry Andrin (43:00).

Moira Erediano, winner of the Milo Marathon Cebu leg 3k race, added another feather to her cap as she grabbed the top spot in the 4k female race by clocking 21:08. Kenyan

Abraham Kilimo topped the men’s side with a time of 13:33.

In the medical category, 16k winners were Ishmael Cecilio (1:24:55) and Wilma Lugay (1:27:16).

The 8k winners were Santonin Yu (44:12) and Helen Palma (50:38) while Rowen Winnox Pardillo (20:46) and Carmel Yu (23:11) were the 4k winners.
