Suspected drug user shot dead in Mandaue City
A suspected drug user was shot inside his home in Mandaue City by unknown assailants on Wednesday evening.
Amado Colina, 44, was watching television inside his home in Nawanao, Block, Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City at past 9 p.m. when a man wearing a violet full face helmet and a black jacket barged in and shot him in the chest, according to SPO1 Allaen Carado of the Subangdaku Police Station.
Witnesses said the assailant sped toward Hernan Cortes Street in a motorcycle after shooting Colina, Carado said.
He said Colina was rushed to the Mandaue District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Carado revealed that Colina was listed as an alleged drug user under Oplan TokHang list but he never joined the many others in his community who earlier surrendered and pledged to no longer engage in drug related activities.
