THE Department of Labor and Employment said it is doubling its efforts to find jobs for the unemployed and underemployed Filipinos in the country.

During the launching of the 16th Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Congress at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City Friday morning, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said unemployment is caused by inadequate job opportunities, skills and jobs mistmatches and limited access to labor market information.

He also called on local PESO offices to be agents of change and implement the labor department’s programs for the next six years of the Duterte administration.
