Around 50 individuals made up of street children and adults were rounded up Saturday night by the police officers of the Fuente Police Station during their nightly anti-mendicancy drive.
According to Fuente Police Station desk officer, PO3 Carlo Balasoto, these individuals were rounded up from around Fuente Osmeña Circle and from some streets around Mango Avenue in Cebu City.
With the help of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), these inviduals will be in the custody of the police for two hours or more, and then they will later be turned over to their respective barangays.
