Liza Soberano named as best dress of the night

THE BIGGEST and brightest Kapamilya stars once again walked down the red carpet with designer gowns and suits, showing local tinseltown how glamour should look like, during the Star Magic Ball 2016 held at Makati Shangri-La, Manila last Saturday night (Oct. 22).

As the stars arrived at the annual ball, some of them dazzled in the most different and breathtaking manner, bringing home some of the most coveted award.

First on the list is young actress Liza Soberano, who had everyone so smitten with her looks that even local celebrities and netizens couldn’t help but appreciate and repost a photo of her during the ball.

Liza brought home the Best Dressed Award, as she sashayed her floor-length blue gown she co-designed with international designer Michael Cinco. All eyes were on her as she walked the red carpet with a plunging illusion neckline down the middle of her gown.

Her male counterpart was Zanjoe Marudo who looked dapper in a Lanvin tuxedo, making him Most Dressed among the male celebrities.

Meanwhile, young stars Sofia Andres and Diego Loyzaga were declared Couple of the Night. Sofia wore a black Edwin Tan gown while Diego was in a Francis Libiran suit.

John Lloyd Cruz was given the Metro and H&M Style Award while Jericho Rosales was honored with the Star Magic Icon award.

Charo Santos-Concio and Gabby Lopez were named Stars of the Night.

Elisee Joson was awarded as Ponds Beautiful Belle of the Night.

Part of the program paid tribute to former ABS-CBN vice president Freddie Garcia, who was one of the visionaries who started Star Magic.

The program also featured special guests and the stars pledging to help victims of typhoon Lawin.
