THE Cebu Provincial government and Cebu City government is fast tracking in resolving the 93-1 lot issue.

Gov. Hilario Davide III said that they are targeting to solve the issue over the 32 hectares by December or before the year ends.

Davide said that he met with the Provincial Board members last week to sort out all the necessary documents including the authority to sign the memorandum of agreement (MOA).

“Gi-meet nako ang provincial board diin giupdate nako sila sa mga development. Hopefully maplantsa na tanan sa December (I met with the provincial board where I updated them with the development of the 93-1. Hopefully everything will be settle by December),” Davide said.

And last Tuesday, Davide also met with Cebu City representatives Francisco “Bimbo” Fernandez and Alvin Dizon to discuss the final draft of the MOA.

Fernandez is the executive assistant of Osmeña while Dizon is former city councilor now urban poor consultant of the mayor.

In their earlier interviews, both Davide and Osmeña said that they were into leaning into land swapping in resolving the issue.

Davide said that there would be no money involve in the transaction only exchanging of lots.

Under the draft MOA, the city will swap a portion of lot in South Road Properties (SRP) at the back of SM Seaside and block 27 in North Reclamation Area (NRA).

Plus the city’s abattoir and Septage Treatment Plant (STP) both located in NRA.

Davide also said that it would also include a property in Pulpogan in Consolacion town which is owned by Cebu City.

Davide said that the property where the old Cebu City Zoo is located is not included in the land swap since the property is already owned by the province.
