A female jail visitor in her teens was arrested by the jail guards of the Talisay City Jail in Barangay Maghaway after allegedly trying to sneak in packs of suspected shabu inside the jail facility at past 1 p.m. today.

Chief Inspector Josephus Jelianggao, the jail warden, said that Marygold Aquino, 19, rolled three medium-sized packs of suspected shabu inside P20 bills and hid them inside her wallet.

Aquino was supposed to visit her detained live-in partner Junnavel Lopez who was arrested last September for illegal possession of firearms.

“The jail guards noticed something suspicious about the woman when they were inspecting her belongings. Then one of them noticed that her wallet was unusually bulging. When they inspected its contents, they then found the illegal drugs inside,” Jelianggao told Cebu Daily News.

The three sachets of suspected shabu weighed around 12 grams with an estimated value of P28,000 to P30,000, Jelianggao added.
