PHILIPPINE Bowling Congress (PBC) president Guillermo Mallillin is hoping something positive comes out from today’s Senate inquiry on the long standing issue between the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC).

Mallillin and PBC Secretary General Francis de Leon were in town last weekend for the 8th Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) National Tenpin Open.

Earlier this year, the POC tasked secretary general Stephen Hontiveros to form a body to take over “embattled” PBC. Instead of resolving the alleged internal problems of PBC, Mallillin said Hontiveros formed the Philippine Bowling Federation (PBF) and made it the new and sanctioning NSA for tenpin bowling in the country.

Mallillin said they were disappointed with the development since there was no such thing as internal problems within PBC and all were just plain accusations.

He is optimistic about the Senate inquiry today that will tackle the issue about the failure of POC to liquidate the P130 million of funds received from PSC.
