Woman finds dead father through dream

By: Norman V. Mendoza January 22,2014 - 03:55 PM

A MAN had gone missing several days after he left home. Repeated attempts to find him went futile until his daughter dreamed of a place where he can be found.

A daughter’s dream led to the discovery of the body of 49-year-old Ruben Romera, who was found yesterday noon in a grassy area in barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City with a knife still embedded in his neck.

According to the victim’s daughter Mary Jane, 23, Ruben was picked up by five men in their house at 9 p.m. last Jan. 16.
Ruben failed to return home since then.

Mary Jane said they tried looking for their father in several places but failed to find him.

Police later invited one Joel Chiong for questioning as the daughters suspected him of having a hand in their father’s disappearance since they are not in good terms.
Chiong, who was previously arrested for illegal drug charges, denied any wrongdoing.

Police released Chiong for lack of evidence to pin him down.
Last Sunday, Ruben’s 29-year-old Maria Fe Romera had a dream guiding them to a place where they could find their father.

Ruben’s relatives tried to find the place until they reached a grassy area at the back of Mutual Homes similar to the place in Maria Fe’s dreams.
While scouring the place, the relatives were shocked to find Ruben’s decomposing body.

Police said they were amazed at how the relatives were able to locate the body.

Further investigation will be conducted to identify the people involved in the man’s death.
