Feng Shui expert: 2017 a good year for romance, giving birth

Any plans of having a baby or falling in love this year?

Feng shui expert Marites Allen said 2017 is a good year to make these life decisions as the year of the Fire Rooster beckons.

“Twenty-seventeen is a special year. Any child born this year will be blessed with the star of intelligence which means that the child will have extraordinary wisdom and will be very smart. The child will also be blessed with mentor luck,” said Allen during the 2017 Year of the Fire Rooster forecast held at the Montebello Villa Hotel Cebu.

Allen said those born in the year 2017 will have the blessing of the Nobleman and Academic Stars which symbolize intelligence and success. These stars only happen in the Ying Fire Rooster and Yin Water Rabbit years.

To be blessed with “mentor luck” means having an influential and successful mentor who will guide or assist the child in his or her life’s decisions including career growth, professional advancements and personal endeavors.

However, Allen cautions that flourishing romantic opportunities will be laden with third party interventions and sex scandals.

It pays to know your animal signs and note your conflict signs so you know what charms and mantras to wear and follow to protect you from “bad luck,” she said.

Cebu business

Allen said the prosperity star is located on the center position making Central Visayas in general and Cebu in particular as the perfect venue for developing and continuing business endeavors.

In an interview with reporters at the sidelines of the event, Allen said the next three years will still be good for real estate companies to continue to grow their business given that the architectural industry belongs to the metal element which has positive prospects.

The rooster is associated with the metal element.

“There are also many spaces for growth in water-related business so it is a good time to enhance the tourism industry,” said Allen who emphasized in her 2017 forecast that water-related enterprises such as spa, marine and naval companies will do well this year.

Any industries that utilize heat and electricity such as entertainment and television will have “fantastic luck” in 2017.

Allen noted in her forecast that there are limited prospects for those under the wood element such as publishing, writing and teaching. Pawnshops, landfills and hospitality businesses under the earth element will be heavily challenged this year.

“But the call center (industry) will still experience good business because they ‘talk’… there’s saliva and that’s water so the good element is there to bring good luck,” she said.

Accidents

Since the rooster is a land animal, road and fire accidents are most likely to happen, according to Allen.

In her forecast, she noted that the “rooster being a yin metal element like a knife indicates killings, assassinations and terrorist attacks.”

As the raging fire element dominates the year, people are expected to be more rebellious, demanding and aggressive. Hence, leaders will be faced with “unruly, defiant and hard to govern subordinates.”

This year also brings bad news to women, she said, as there will be a general decline in the number of women who hold significant positions in various sectors of society.

“Those holding big positions may be challenged, their abilities questioned and they may even face long-term lawsuits, injuries and illnesses,” Allen noted.

The last year of the fire rooster was in 1957. There are 12 animal signs (rooster, rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, dog and pig) and five elements (fire, metal, water, wood and earth) in the Chinese zodiac.
