A suspected drug pusher got injured during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Hawod, Barangay Bulacao, Talisay City last Sunday afternoon.

Marvin Traya Baldemisa, 38, was wounded in his left leg after engaging in a shootout with the raiding team.

Alex Manabat, in-charge for radio communication of Talisay City police station, said that during the buy-bust, Baldemisa immediately pulled out a gun and fired at the raiding team led by SPO3 Vincent Taladua after sensing that he was transacting with the police, prompting SPO2 Jeffrey Diola to retaliate and hit Baldemisa in the left leg.

Baldemisa was brought to the hospital for treatment, while his cohort Brehido Rehes Jr. was arrested. Recovered from Baldemisa were one medium-sized and a small sachet of suspected shabu and a .357 revolver, while those from Reyes were 17 rectangular plastic packs containing alleged shabu and a .22 revolver. The drugs confiscated amounted to around P66,000.
