SIMPLE GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL

During a gathering of developers in Cebu last week, one participant pointed out the simplicity of a government official who graced the event.

While almost everyone wore a suit or dress, the government official only wore a polo shirt and denim pants.

WIDER REACH

A netizen commented that a commercial by a Filipino fastfood giant that went viral on Valentine’s Day should give pause for concern to TV networks.

He said the fact that the commercial generated lots of views should entice advertisers to shift from TV to social media where rates are lower but their reach is wider and farther.

UNLIMITED TEXTING

A girl who bewailed her failure to land a boyfriend to friends was advised by one of her gay pals to start flirting.

When she asked how she could do that, the gay pal bluntly told her to cut down on her cell phone use and making it appear that she was texting someone special at 1 a.m.

“Day wa kay boyfie so unless magbinuntagay mo og text sa imong mama, I doubt naa kay ka text. Ay mi’g ilara, day (Girl, you have no boyfriend so unless you’re texting to your mama until the wee hours of the morning, I doubt if you’re texting someone special. Don’t fool us, girl).”

‘BORING’ RACY MOVIE?

While some malls in Cebu City are showing the sequel to a movie known for its sexual content, one shopping center decided not to do so. The center refused to show the original film back in 2015 due to its adult rating.

But some netizens are not that keen on watching the sequei. One noted that he watched an action film instead because he believed he would find the sequel “boring.”
