Lawyer: Censil is not involved in drugs

By: Benjie Talisic April 07,2017 - 07:16 PM

The legal counsel of self-confessed drug lord Franz Sabalones said Manolito Censil, who was accused of being a drug lord operating in Talisay City, is not involved in the illegal drugs trade.

In an exclusive interview with Cebu Daily News, Lawyer Louie Arma said he asked Censil to monitor who is using Sabalones’ name in dealing drugs even after the latter already surrendered and was already out of the business.

Arma said that Sabalones and Censil knew each other but said that Censil’s name was not in the list of drug personalities that Sabalones gave to Camp Crame.

Arma added he is also representing Censil, who was the target of a raid conducted by a team from the Regional Intelligence Division in Central Visayas (RIB-7) on Friday night.

The RIB-7 team raided Censil’s house in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City at 7:30 p.m.

Arma said that they are now looking at lapses that the raiding team have committed saying Censil was not even at home when they raided his place.

The raiding team recovered two medium packs of suspected shabu, a .45 caliber gun, a .22 Magnum and several ammunition from Censil’s house.
