THE RACE for the top four slots and the twice-to-beat advantage that comes with them intensified after the Roosters beat the Cobras, 71-57, in the Cebu Weekend Basketball Club basketball tournament last weekend at the City Sports Club Cebu.
The win gave the Roosters a 10-4 win-loss card with just two more games remaining in the elimination round.
PAREF-Springdale standout Sean Quitevis led the way with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Tied at 9-4 are the Penguins and the Toros which came away victorious in their games last weekend. The Penguins routed the undermanned Hogs, 97-78, while the Toros gored the Pandas, 76-73.
