WITH the continued increase of VIP guests in Cebu, the demand for premium service vehicles has also surged.

Because of this, Davao-based Mabuhay Car Rentals expanded its fleet by acquiring BMW 3 series units for its premium service.

In a turnover ceremony last April 22, BMW handed over five of the seven 318d units for Mabuhay Car Rentals, which opted for the same models in order to maintain uniformity for their special fleet.

Mabuhay Car Rentals General Manager Ryan Tan said that Cebu’s hospitality industry has become more competitive over the recent years. And as partners, they wanted to look for ways to innovate and elevate the standards to be at par with other countries. This is what pushed them to upgrade their fleet with premium vehicles from BMW.

Since entering Cebu’s market in July 2014, Mabuhay Car Rentals has grown its clientele, consisting of top caliber resorts and hotels which include Radisson Blu Cebu, Bai Hotel, Summit Galleria, Waterfront hotels, Marco Polo Plaza, Plantation Bay, Crimson Resort and Spa, Quest Hotel, Cebu Parklane International Hotel and Golden Prince Hotel among others.

Gateway Group Executive Vice President Michael Ryan Goho said that he is very happy that Mabuhay Car Rentals chose Autowelt BMW Cebu, a Gateway Group subsidiary, as its partner in offering the first premium car rental service in Cebu.
