Ex-USPF stalwart lifts Lycans in Indie hoop

AGILE big man Fritz Dajalos carried the Lycans to a 101-74 win over Princess and Faith in the 7th Indie Basketball Cebu last weekend at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

Dajalos, the former ace of the University of Southern Philippines Foundation, literally threw his weight around and had 20 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.

In other games, ex-University of San Carlos standout Jam Ferraren led the RNK Builders with 26 points in their 87-45 rout of the TGIF while Jec Congmon sizzled with 17 points, two steals and two assists in the Knights’ 73-49 demolition of Honey P.

Allan Sala also had a field day as he had 26 points, six boards and four assists to push SG to an 88-59 victory over the TTHS Crew even as Steve Castro tallied 24 points and four assists to get the Jhannics Sharks past the Islanders Pairez, 65-54.

Jayward dela Cerna was clutch as his 24 points nudged Pentel past Aegis, 62-58. Paolo Agbon of Mardam Ads led his team to an 88-60 victory over the Wolves with 19 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The other games saw Begdin Eamiguel notch 21 points to lead the Chargers over Oxford Brewing, 55-50, while Jimmy Ople got 17 in the Irish 67-50 blasting off the Spirit Blazers.

Jason Largo scored 19 to pace Kalye Awhay past Dr. P, 67-54, while Armando de Jesus fired in 19 to lead MsBC over Mr. Booking, 68-64.
