Magis Eagles stay unbeaten

THE Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles remained undefeated in the Passerelle Division 1 of the Cebu Youth Basketball League Summer League 2017 as they bested the University of San Jose-Recoletos, 59–32, at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue, Cebu City.

The victory was Ateneo de Cebu’s fourth in as many matches, putting them atop the standings. USJ-R fell to 2–1.

Ateneo de Cebu’s chief rival, University of the Visayas, kept in step with them as it collected its third straight win with a 52–34 rout of the Abellana National School. WJC eked out a 42–40 win over the University of San Carto go up, 2–0.

In Division 1 B, Don Bosco had a field day with One on One A, 75–77.

In the SBP Division 1, UV kept their unblemished 3–0 record with a dominant 45–12 victory over One on One A. Don Bosco snagged two wins — a 63–31 win over USC as well as a 63–41 rout of Ateneo de Cebu — to up its record to 3–1. Ateneo de Cebu recovered by downing One on One A, 63–17.

In the Girls Under-18 competition, Grassroots defeated Inayawan, 45–30, while Abellana got the best of Grassroots, 50–27.
