LAST Saturday’s championship victory in the Beach Volleyball Republic (BVR) in Moalboal left the Liloan Redline pair of Jade Becaldo and Rommel Pepito hungry for more.
Now, they are set on chasing the ultimate glory when they compete in the BVR National Championships from July 28 to 30 in Sta. Ana, Cagayan.
Pepito and Becaldo, who have been on a roll lately by winning the sixth and seventh legs, are currently going through rigid training in preparation for
the grandest stage of them all wherein champion teams from each of the seven legs of the BVR and some international squads will be competing.
Liloan Redline mentor Joerem Yu believes that the team needs to double their efforts in the national championships to prevent mid-game collapses.
“They already have their routine. I don’t have a problem with the two when it comes to practice because I know they are disciplined players,” said the former Southwestern University tactician Yu.
Despite the seemingly difficult challenge ahead, Yu is confident that the team can put up a great performance and win its first BVR national title this year.
