The 2002 Lions showed steely nerves during crunchtime as they outgunned the 2015 Assassins, 62-57, in Game 1 of the Division 3 semifinals in the USC NABC Summer League 2 Powered by Common Ground last Sunday at the USC North Campus Gym.
While former two-time Cesafi MVP Enrico Llanto was his usual brilliant self, piling up 26 points, 13 rebounds, three steals and four blocked shots, Rocky Alcoseba lent a hand, hitting two crucial three-pointers down the stretch to help the Lions take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series. Alcoseba finished with 15 points, spiked by five three pointers.

The 1993 Dragons also kept in step as they took down the 1985 Legends, 49-43.
