Liloan Redline off to Legazpi for BVR tour
THE LILOAN Redline pair of Jade Becaldo and Rommel Pepito left on Wednesday night for Legazpi, Albay as they compete in the Beach Volleyball Republic (BVR) On Tour this Friday in Legazpi Boulevard.
Becaldo and Pepito, who have been enjoying a stellar year, winning the BVR Ilocos Norte and Moalboal legs and the BVR National Championship in Sta. Ana, Cagayan last month, admitted they are feeling the pressure to repeat as champions.
“There is a little pressure since we’re champions for three consecutive tournaments, but we’ll take it one at a time,” said Liloan Redline head coach Joerem Yu.
To ease the pressure, Yu said that his wards have been honing their chemistry and teamwork regularly.
“I didn’t have a problem with the two players because they always prepare whenever they join a tournament,” Yu added.
