ROADSTAR pulled the rug from under Family Appliance, 65-62, to grab the solo lead in the standings in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball League last Tuesday at the CEC gym.
Mark Bacho led Roadstar (4-0) with 16 points while Bernard Alves backed him up with 13.
Juan Espada scored 18 for Family Appliance, which dropped to 3-1 (win-loss).
In other matches, Dimsum Frito handed Juice Boost their first defeat of the competition, 84-74.
Joey Catipay and Mark Bukiron took turns punishing the defense of Juice Boost as the former had 28 while the latter chipped in 22 to complete the stunning upset.
Juice Boost and Dimsum Frito now find themselves in a three-way tie for third place at 2-1 alongside BCP Lubricants.
Interpace Computer Systems claimed their first win of the tournament with a 59-53 victory over Dewfoam, behind the 18-point showing of Audrey Ibones.
