FELLOW celebrities flooded Rachelle Ann Go’s Instagram account with congratulatory comments after the Broadway star posted an engagement photo of her with American businessman Martin Spies.
Go announced their engagement on her Instagram account (@gorachelleann) on Friday dawn (Philippine time).
The first photo she posted shows Spies kneeling in front of her, holding an engagement ring box.
The proposal happened by the beach. Last night, Go posted a photo of her Spies with the caption: “My fiance” with the hashtag: MartinuShin. Go considered this as an answered prayer for Go who wanted this to happen on her 31st birthday.
“What an amazing God we have. Thank you, Father God for this man. A man who loves you first. I still cannot believe this!!! Ahhh!!,” Go said.
Go’s post also included the verse from Psalm 37:4, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, one of Go’s mentors, commented on the post: “Oh how wonderful congratulations.”
Ehra Madrigal-Yeung also left the comment: “Aaaah! Congrats @gorachelleann!! God is Good!” on Go’s post.
Kapuso actress Sheena Halili, for her part, said: “Congratulations!” while “Eat Bulaga” host Pauleen Luna-Sotto commented: “Yaaay! Congratulations, Shin! God is good!”
Isabelle Daza also left heart emojis on Go’s Instagram post.
It was just last month when Go confirmed her relationship with Spies.
The first time Go gave hints about their relationship was in April this year.
Go is currently based in London as she is set to play as Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton in the West End production of the hugely successful musical “Hamilton,” on November 21 at Victoria Palace Theatre.
Aside from “Hamilton,” Go has also already performed as Fantine in “Les Miserables” and Gigi Van Tranh for “Miss Saigon” in 2016.
