DESPITE having no suspects yet in the P143,000 burglary of a church in Barangay Suba, Bantayan town in northern Cebu, police are exploring the idea of the crime as an inside job.

PO1 Florante Sukatan of the police station in Bantayan town, a town 136 km from Cebu City, said that there was no forced entry in the burglary of Saint Peter and Paul Parish Church, which was done five days ago.

Sukatan also said that there were no footprints or things that could identify the burglar nor were there any witnesses.

He said that the burglar entered through the window of the room on a floor above the main office of the church.

Sukatan said that the burglar knew where the cash was and made sure that no one could enter while he was stealing the money by moving the refrigerator on the door of the office.
