Magis Eagles to vie in Pilipinas Cup Invt’l

THE Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) will compete in the Pilipinas Cup International Invitational Youth Football Championship in Clark Freeport, Pampanga, tomorrow until October 31.

SHS-AdC, runner up to Don Bosco in the recent Cesafi secondary division football tournament, will be playing in group A of the boys under-16 category of the prestigious tournament.

The team will be first taking on GOM Center for Excellence B on Saturday at 2 p.m. Its second match on Sunday will be against Stallions FC at 9 a.m and its last Group A assignment will be against Viras FC on Monday at 3 p.m.

The team is composed of Lance Felicilda, Nao Brian Osawa, Jacob Alexander Braun, Kiann Partosa, Glenn Lopez, Yoshiki Yamaguchi, Gerald Abao, Juan Miguel Galang, Hiroshi Iwanaga,Sydney Kamichi, Koo Christopher Osawa, Musashi Ayabe, Julian Cabatingan, John Pomeroy Veloso, Christian Lumapas, John Vincent Eduave, Ryoichiro Eguchi and Keith Fernandez. The team will be handled by head coach Julius Tapia and conditioning coach Mark Kevin Uy.

The team’s participation is made possible through the help of its major sponsors Cebu Landmasters Inc., Hyundai Cebu, Guhring and minor sponsors San Miguel Mills, General Milling Corporation, King Cup, Crystal Sugar Co. Inc., Sandvik Coromant, and Monark Heavy Equipment Corporation.
