Joeric Boxing pugs victorious in Cebu Amateur Boxing Revival Leg 6

TEAM Joeric Boxing’s bets emerged winners in the Cebu Amateur Boxing Revival Leg 6 at the Mandaue Plaza Square in Mandaue City last Sunday.

Leading the way was Jimpol Dignos, who scored a technical knockout (TKO) victory against Jeffrey Jimenez of the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) in the 47-kilogram division.

Dignos downed Jimenez at the 1:42 mark of the first round to lead Team Joeric Boxing’s flawless record in the 12-bout fight card.

Other winners for the team were Bombie Parcon and Clinton Martinez, who downed Lenbert Cainap and Joperson Trazo, respectively.

Parcon beat Big Yellow Boxing Gym’s Cainap via unanimous decision in the 48kg division while Martinez escaped Trazo of 10,000BC Boxing Gym by split decision in their 29kg showdown.

Aside from Dignos, Naga Boxing Club’s Lester Secretarya scored a TKO win against Wartel Llanos of Tuburan Boxing Club at the 45-second mark of the second round in their 33kg bout.

Other results: John Lagnason won over Jolieven Abrinica (42kg), Erick Miguel beat Austria (42kg), Jimboy Roy Limpag defeated Walter Sabaybay (49kg), Erick Opos edged Christopher Magbanua (55kg), John Niño Vega beat Edwardo Jimenex (47kg) and Marco Pomar toppled Alex Santisima (56kg).

The fight card was organized by the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines (ABAP), Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Visayas and sponsored by ALA Boxing Gym.
