ROAD SACRIFICE

Netizens were agreeable to Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s proposal to ban private cars starting next week to decongest the traffic in N. Bacalso Ave. due to the ongoing construction of the P683-million underpass project of the Department of Works and Highways (DPWH) 7.

A netizen named Samantha Imanil wrote, “Okay ra sad. Mas daghan man siguro trabahante na mag commute kesa mag car… reasonable enough.”

Alex Agustin wrote, “We all have to make sacrifices for the improvement of infrastructure in our region. So let’s be more cooperative than pessimistic about this. The government is trying its level best to find ways and means so we can at least be cooperative. Lahat naman may sacripisyo dito (Let’s all sacrifice on this). As we will also benefit from this project in the long run. So less bickering and complaining and take the recommendation to find alternate routes… May car naman kayo…pwede naman maghanap ng ibang route di ba (You have cars you can find other routes right)?”
