On learning that a Cebuano won the P29.7 million jackpot prize of the Grand Lotto 6/55 last Saturday, netizens were quick to offer all sorts of advice to the winner.

A netizen named Michael Curan wrote, “I hope the winner will take a fraction of the money and invest it in the stocks exchange, para mo dako iyang money. Ayaw tawn i-waldas (so he can earn bigger. Don’t waste it).”

Eunice Luarde wrote, “Yahaya ni kuya oo, pasko najud para sa tibuok pamilya. Maytag dili nimo sayangan kuya ug invest ka ug taron para dili ka ma zero-han ug mo grow imong kwarta (You are lucky bro, it’s Christmas for your family. I hope you don’t waste it bro, invest it so you don’t lose it and you make your money grow).”

While Verhen Paldo wrote, “I’ve known a lot of people na naka daog sa lotto nya wala ni lahutay ilang kwarta. maau unta na dili ni sayanga ang prize then mag invest pud tani ni siya para ma kita niya ang mag lambo (I’ve known a lot of people who won the lotto and yet they lost it all. I hope he doesn’t waste his prize and invest it so he can see it grow).”
