Special program for soldiers at Plaza Independencia
CEBU City Hall will hold a special program to honor the country’s troops at the Plaza Independencia on Dec. 20.
Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña said while details of the program are not finalized, it will push through. He said he hopes city residents will join the program.
He said the program coincides with the turnover of the P10.2 million in cash aid to the families of the fallen soldiers in Marawi City.
“We are here today because some people died for us. Let us give them few considerations. Let us show them that we are behind them,” he said.
Osmeña said a new resolution will be drafted to extend the donation.
“We are still discussing it. We just want to be sure it can reach them,” he said.
