Cebu leg of NBTC tournament this weekend

THE CEBU leg of the SM National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) will be held this weekend with a six-game slate in two separate venues.

On Saturday (Jan. 27) at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts inside their campus in Canduman, Mandaue City, the Sisters of Mary Boystown kicks off the hoops action at 1 p.m. with a match against the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF).

This will be followed by a game between the University of San Carlos (USC) and Ateneo de Cebu at 2:30 p.m. Closing the day will be a game between the University of the Visayas (UV) and Don Bosco at 4 p.m.

On Sunday (Jan. 28)at the Cebu City Sports Institute in Brgy. Sawang Calero, UV takes on USC at 12 noon, then USPF battles Ateneo de Cebu at 1:30 p.m. The last game pits Boystown and the Abellana National School at 3 p.m.

The teams will play a single round robin with the top two teams at the end of the round automatically advancing to the championship round for the Cebu leg. Those same teams will also earn berths to the national finals that will be held later this year.
