A 31-year-old man was shot dead by a lone gunman in Barangay Luz, Cebu City at past 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Responding police officers from the homicide section of the Cebu City Police Office identified the victim as Adones Altar.

Police said Altar had just fetched his six-year-old son from an internet cafe in the area.

As the boy entered the alleyway leading to their house with Altar following him, the assailant suddenly appeared, walked beside the victim and shot him in the head.

The gunman then fled on a motorcycle driven by a cohort, who acted as a lookout during the attack.
