HOST school Cebu International School (CIS) will try to defend its hometurf today as it begins its campaign in the 3rd season of the International Schools Activities Conference (ISAC) for school year 2017-2018.

Formal competition starts today in boys’ basketball and girls’ football.

All games will be held inside the CIS campus.

In the boys’ basketball, CIS will open the tournament by going up against Brent International School Manila (BISM) in the morning.

In the afternoon, the home team will have two games, first against Brent International School Subic (BISS) then later against British School Manila (BSM).

The boys’ basketball will be played in a single round robin with the top four to advance to the semifinals. The losers will then vie for the third place while the winners will contest the title on Saturday.

In girls’ football, CIS also has three games, first against BISM, then BISS and last against BSM.

The tournament will be played in a league-type format with the top four to advance to the crossover semifinals. Losers will vie for third place while the winners will play for the title, also on Saturday.

Other participating schools in this tournament are Brent International School Baguio (BISB), Faith International Academy (FIA) in Mindanao and Southville International Schools and Colleges (SISC).
