More areas in the country are under storm signal as “super typhoon” Yolanda (international name Haiyan) prepares to take a landfall in the vicinity of Samar and Leyte tomorrow.
Signal No. 4: Eastern Samar, Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte and Biliran Island
Signal No. 3: Northern Samar, Masbate, Northern Cebu including Bantayan island, Siargao Island and Dinagat Province
Signal No. 2: Romblon, Sorsogon, Albay and Burias Island, Bohol, Negros Occ., Negros Or.,Aklan, Capiz,Antique, Iloilo and Guimaras, Surigao Del Norte, Surigao Del Sur and Agusan del Norte
Signal No. 1: Camarines Norte,Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque, Northern Palawan including Group, Calamian Group of Island and Southern Quezon, Siquijor, Misamis Oriental and Agusan del Sur
Yolanda is moving west northwest at 33 kilometer per hour with a maximum sustained winds of 215 kph and gustiness of up to 250 kph.
