EARTH’S Mightiest Heroes are front and center at the local and international cinemas this week as “Avengers: Infinity War” officially rolled out into the country’s theaters ahead of its North American release on Friday this week (Saturday in the Philippines).
But even before the culmination of a decade’s worth of storytelling unfolded at the local silver screen yesterday, there were mobile and console games that featured Marvel’s finest—including the X-Men—squaring off against Thanos, the big bad of this year’s blockbuster film.
Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 will feature characters in the 2018 film while the latest mobile game to hit both IOS and Android, Marvel Strike Force, will adopt the Infinity War storyline sometime soon.
Long before that, there was Marvel Future Fight (launched in 2015) which featured elements of the Infinity Gauntlet storyline from which the film draws its inspiration from and Marvel Contest of Champions (launched in 2014) which showcases a new Infinity War themed story campaign for players and their alliances.
That plus movie related merchandise means there’s plenty to be had for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans.
