A 19-year-old boy surrendered to police authorities a day after he killed his father in Barangay Tungkil, Minglanilla town, Cebu at around 2 a.m. Thursday, April 26.
The suspect was identified as Cyril John Maquilan who killed 48-year-old father, Solaine Maquilan using an extension cord.
PO3 Jefferson Base of Minglanilla police precinct said Maquilan admitted that he killed his father but surrendered to police authorities around 2 a.m.
Police are now conducting an investigation on the motive behind the attack.
