Cebu Capitol’s Traffic Management Focal Person Jonathan Tumulak described the traffic situation as manageable after the rehabilitation of the Mananga Bridge 3 in Talisay City has started last Friday night (April 27).

Tumulak said they closed two of the three lanes of the Cebu City-bound portion of the bridge at 11:15 p.m last night.

The rehabilitation project includes scraping off the asphalt of the 390-meter bridge to replace it with new layer.

The Department of Public Works and Highways in Central Visayas (DPWH – 7) is targeting to finish the P28-million bridge rehabilitation project and preventive maintenance in June.

Almond de la Peña, head of City of Talisay Traffic Operations Development Authority (CTTODA), said they deployed at least ten traffic enforcers in the construction area to help manage the traffic.
