Catmon recovers in Gov’s Cup v’ball

CATMON successfully reclaimed the second spot in the North Division with a 23-25, 25-19, 25-20 outlasting of Liloan in the Governor’s Cup Inter-cities and Municipalities Volleyball Tournament 2018 yesterday at the Catmon Municipal Gym.

Catmon started slow, losing the first set to Liloan, 23-25. However, it forged a deciding third set by winning the second set, 25-19. With a chance at a victory, Catmon went ahead to close the crucial match in its favor, 25-20.

Catmon now has a record of three wins and one loss while Liloan drops to third place with two wins and two losses.

In the other game, Medellin moves up the ladder after winning against Tabogon by default. Tabogon failed to show up as its players had to attend a senior high seminar.

Medellin now has a 2-2 (win-loss) record while Tabogon has yet to win a game at 0-4.

Today, top seed Mandaue which currently has an immaculate 3-0 record will be facing Danao which stands with a 1-2 card, at their home ground at the Danao City Civic Center.

Liloan will also vie against Tabogon on the same day and venue.
