Servania, Banal win respective fights in Manila

TWO former ALA Boxing Gym stalwarts, Genesis “Kashimi” Servania and AJ “Bazooka” Banal, won their respective bouts with contrasting results last Sunday in the Survival Instinct: Matira Matibay at the SM Skydome in Quezon City.

Servania, scored a technical knockout versus unheralded Jason Butar Butar of Indonesia in the fifth round via a hook to the liver while Banal, win over another Indonesian, Master Suro, in a 10-rounder bout with a score of 100-90 from all three judges.

Servania, who is a former world title challenger, improved to 31 wins, 14 knockouts, and one defeat while Butar Butar suffered his 24th defeat, with 27 victories, one draw, and 18 knockouts.

Banal improved his record to 36 wins, two losses, one draw with 23 knockouts. Suro absorbed his 14th defeat in 27 fights.
