Anne Curtis to celebrate 21st anniversary in showbiz with a concert

KAPAMILYA host and actress Anne Curtis will celebrate her 21 years in showbiz with a concert called “ANNE-KULIT. PROMISE, LAST NA ‘TO” at Smart Araneta Coliseum on August 18, 2018.

“Save the date. 8.18.18. Celebrating 21 years in the industry,” the actress announced last Sunday evening through her social media accounts.

Curtis has had several sold-out concerts in the past, including “AnneBisyosa: No Other Concert” held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in 2012.

This was followed by “AnneKapal: The Forbidden Concert” in 2014.

Curtis started her career in 1997. Her first film was “Magic Kingdom” where she played Princess Dahlia.

She signed with Viva Artists Agency and her first home network was GMA.

Curtis became part of the series titled, “Ikaw Na Sana” in 1997 which was headlined by the then popular love team of Angelu de Leon and Bobby Andrews.

She moved to the Kapamilya Network in 2004.

Her first major TV project was the 2005 teleserye, “Kampanerang Kuba” where she played the role of Imang.

Her other teleseryes were “Dyosa” (2008), “The Wedding” (2009), “Green Rose” (2011), and “Mars Ravelo’s Dyesebel” (2014).

At present, Curtis is one of the hosts in ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime.”

Curtis also headlined several movies, including “A Secret Affair” (2012), “The Gifted” (2014), “Blood Ransom” (2014), and “Bakit Lahat ng Gwapo may Boyfriend?” (2016).

At present, Curtis together with Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes headline the film, “Sid and Aya: Not a Love Story” directed by Irene Villamor under Viva Films.

The movie has earned 117 million in 11 days.

Her fans are also looking forward to her first action film, “Buy Bust” which will open in cinemas on August 1. The film is directed by Erik Matti and
produced by Viva Films.

Curtis is currently working on another film titled, “Aurora” directed by Yam Laranas.

The cast and crew were in Basco, Batanes recently to shoot some scenes for the film.
