A Talisay City resident facing murder and frustrated murder charges was shot dead in what police described as an “anti-drug operation” in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City at noon Tuesday, July 24.
Supt. Marlu Conag, Talisay City police chief, said the suspect identified as Rodel Sanchez.
Sanchez was served an arrest warrant but fought off police in a shootout that led to his death.
Conag said police recovered from Sanchez’s possession sachets of shabu and loaded revolvers.
