Isuzu showcases mu-X, D-Max capabilities in ‘Xtreme Xperience’ weekend at SM City Cebu

The past weekend was a fun-filled, eye-opening event for vehicle enthusiasts and mall-goers at SM City Cebu as Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) held its “Isuzu 4×4 Xtreme Xperience” at the sprawling open parking area at the mall’s north wing.

Isuzu’s 4×4 event made a return engagement after the Isuzu 4×4 Action Playground was last held in Cagayan de Oro in 2017.

This time, the “Isuzu 4×4 Xtreme Xperience” has been expanded to include more fun and engaging activities for all members of the family.

The highlight of the weekend was the 4×4 Xtreme Xperience Action Ramp, wherein 3.0-liter D-Max 4×4 pickups took turns going up and down a two-storey-high steep narrow metal ramp.

There were also accessorized versions of the D-Max and mu-X on display while some spectators got a chance to test drive the mu-X RZ4E 4×2 AT.

There were also numerous games and activities for visitors who signed up for the 15 stations of the “Consumer Journey,” which included: Drift karting; photobooth; kids’ activity area; all-terrain display; parts, accessories and merchandising display; Mod hobbyist exhibit; the My Dream Isuzu Car corner, and; car club meet-ups.

Promos and discounts exclusive to the “Xtreme Xperience” were also offered during the three-day event that started August 10.

Celebrities

On August 12, there were special activities held for the culmination of the event — the cheerdance competition finale, the awarding ceremonies for the cheerdance, fuel economy run, and the highest kilometer mileage.

Isuzu mu-X ambassador, TV actress and singer Maja Salvador and rock/hiphop group Urbandub also performed during the unveiling of the Isuzu Cebu Inc (ICI) 20th anniversary logo.

The event was organized in partnership with IPC and ICI, which comprises Isuzu Mandaue, Cebu, Talisay, and Bohol.

Winner of the Eco Run was Hudson Elvira, while the Highest Mileage award went to Lucio San Diego. The cheerdance was topped by the University of the Visayas Pep Squad.
