Cebu Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale expressed concern over the travel advisory issued by United Kingdom including the southern part of Cebu due to threats of terrorism.

Magpale, who is the chairperson on the Committee on Tourism and International Affairs, said she was saddened by the travel warning issued last Tuesday (August 14).

The advisory covers the towns of Badian and Dalaguete, where popular tourist destinations are located.

She is hopeful that the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will be able to correct the matter.

The vice governor expressed that the advisory might cause an impact on tourism in the province if it is left uncorrected.
