CABC: Davies Paints, AAC LightStrong topple foes
Davies Paints and AAC LightStrong nabbed their second straight wins after defeating their respective opponents in the Cebu Architects’ Basketball Club 2nd Corporate Cup last Sunday at the Cebu Eastern College gym.
Davies Paints escaped Metrotiles, 75-69, behind the double-double performance of Kimkim Rebosura who had 23 points and 12 assists.
Helping him out were Montecristo Salvador who had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Raymond Verano and Criz Matunog who had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Metrotiles, which missed the services of top gun Mike Cinco, fell to 1-1 (win-loss).
AAC LightStrong, meanwhile, edged Boysen Paints, 73-72, to also climb up to 2-0.
Brian Acebedo tallied 24 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists. Jun Villacorta added 19 while Kim Rojas pitched in 16.
Econtech also barged into the win column with a 112-92 rout of Phelps Dodge.
Michael Judilla led the team with 31 points Ariel Armenion added 25, while Justin Aspacio tallied 20 in an impressive show of offensive force by Econtech.
